Jacoby Brissett handed Bill Belichick the football after scoring his first NFL touchdown

You might want to save that, Jacoby!

New England Patriots rookie quarterback Jacoby Brissett made his starting debut on Thursday night — a rather significant one at that — and he’s not wasting any time making plays.

Brissett has found early success against a very good Houston defense both with his arm and his legs. The biggest play came when Brissett broke free around the edge for a 27-yard TD scramble.

That’s a great play, with some fancy moves at the end to score. It’s also the first touchdown of Brissett’s career. You might think he had big plans for that football. Get it painted up. Hang it on a mantle.

Instead he gave it Patriots coach Bill Belichick.

Brissett may not have kept his first touchdown ball, but with the way he’s playing, he’ll get a few more.
