The NFL has announced that Lady Gaga will perform during the Super Bowl LI halftime show. Lady Gaga, a six-time Grammy Award winner, will be the headliner of the halftime show at this season’s Super Bowl at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.

It will be Lady Gaga’s second time performing at a Super Bowl. She performed the national anthem prior to Super Bowl 50.
Lady Gaga is releasing a new album called “Joanne” on October 21, and her first single from that album, “Perfect Illusion,” debuted at No. 1 on iTunes. She had three consecutive albums land in the top spot on the Billboard Top 100.

She’s not just a musical artist. Lady Gaga played The Countess last fall on American Horror Story: Hotel, and she won a Golden Globe for her performance. Lady Gaga was also nominated for an Academy Award for the song “‘Til it Happens to You,” which was written and recorded for the documentary The Hunting Ground.
The Super Bowl halftime show is wildly popular. Super Bowl 50’s halftime performance featuring Coldplay, Beyonce, and Bruno Mars drew in more than 115.5 million viewers in the United States alone.
On Sunday, October 2, Lady Gaga will join Curt Menefee and Michael Strahan on the FOX NFL Sunday Pregame Show to discuss her plans for her Super Bowl LI performance.
