Russell Wilson tried to run for a 1st down and got leveled by a Falcons defender

Russell Wilson got punished for thinking he could possibly run on the Falcons’ defense.

Russell Wilson is having a hard time finding openings against the Falcons’ defense. His offensive line has been a sieve, forcing the quarterback to buy space with his feet.

Facing a third-and-15 early in the fourth quarter, Wilson took off past the line of scrimmage in hopes of picking up the first down. Falcons cornerback Brian Poole made sure Wilson landed WELL short of the marker.

That’s a helluva hit, clean and decisive. It represents what has so far been a dominant game by the Falcons over a traditionally strong postseason team.
