Fantasy football Week 7: T.Y. Hilton, start or sit?

The Colts’ top receiver has been up and down all year. What will Week 8 bring? We break down the fantasy implications.

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton caught just one pass for a 19-yard gain against the Tennessee Titans in Week 7. He’s been held under 50 receiving yards in three of six contests this season.

His inconsistency has had the coaching staff call for more targets to be sent his way going forward.

Fantasy impact: Normally having the coaching staff speak up about targets would improve a player’s fantasy value. As long as Jacoby Brissett is calling the shots however, Hilton’s production totals will be hard to predict.

In Week 8, he gets the Jacksonville Jaguars. Hilton has scorched the Jags in the past but 2017 might be different. Nearly halfway through the season, only three teams defend fantasy receivers with more success than Jacksonville.

With rumors swirling that Andrew Luck may miss the entire season, it’s tough to imagine Hilton being a true No.1 fantasy receiver week to week. The smart move would be to downgrade his value for Week 8 and consider sitting him.

Recommendation: Sit
