Falcons DT Grady Jarrett might have intercepted this Jets spike

The play didn’t matter anyway, but it was a remarkable effort.

So here’s something you don’t see every day. Falcons defensive tackle Grady Jarrett attempted to pick off a spike, and he might have actually done it.

The entire Falcons defense certainly thought he made the play:

Even if Jarrett’s incredible attempt was successful, it wouldn’t have mattered. The Jets were called for a false start, and it resulted in a 10-second runoff that ended the game.

It was yet another 10-second runoff the Falcons were involved in this season to end a game. The first one came against the Detroit Lions, which had been their most recent win.

If Jarrett did indeed come up with that ball as an interception, it’s one of the more badass plays you’ll ever see a defensive lineman make, even if it didn’t count.
