Stefon Diggs penalized for celebrating TD by leaping onto goalpost for a hug

It was a good celebration. Stop being party poopers, NFL.

After scoring a touchdown to put the Vikings up 14-10 on Washington, Stefon Diggs decided it would be a good idea to jump on the goalpost.

it was very similar to what Antonio Brown did in 2015, though Diggs’ was much more composed and clean.

Diggs got an unsportsmanlike-conduct penalty for the act. While the NFL eased up on its celebration rules this offseason, the goalpost still can’t be used as a prop. Only the football can.

Hopefully this changes one day, because it’s a fun and harmless celebration, much like anything else you see any given Sunday.
