Kemba Walker literally did everything... except hit the game-winning layup. This is a cruel twist of fate. The Charlotte Hornets star dropped 47 points on Friday against the Chicago Bulls, but his final layup refused to drop despite hanging on the rim.
Kemba Walker scored 47 points ... and blew a game-winning layup
Walker’s layup could have put Charlotte up one with seconds remaining, but it just rolled off the rim.

This is how the Hornets ended up losing 123-120 on Friday.
Walker was sensational all night, and his 47 points came on 17-of-27 shooting with five threes and eight made free throws. He was hitting heat-check shots like this, after all.
But the Bulls — the Bulls! — were too much to handle, powered by 27 points from Justin Holiday and 22 more from Kris Dunn. If Walker’s layup had fallen, Charlotte would have only had to hang onto a one-point lead with seconds remaining. But it’s hard to fault Walker in this instance, given that his offense was a leading reason why the Hornets were even in a position to win that game.
