The Philadelphia 76ers jumped out to an early 20-point lead over the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night and took a 75-52 lead into halftime. But the Warriors raged back in the third, as many expected, and flipped an ostensibly large lead right onto the 76ers’ heads.

Man Golden State is good.

Golden State finished with a 124-116 lead victory on the road.
The Warriors outscored Philly, 47-15, in the third and 72-42 in the second half altogether.
Golden State has won two NBA championships in three seasons, so we knew they wouldn’t go down without a fight. But the Warriors showed exactly why they’re the NBA’s best third-quarter team. It took just under 11 minutes for the Warriors to erase a lead the 76ers built in the first quarter and held onto in the second.
Will Philadelphia make a comeback? Maybe. One reason Philly lost its lead was because Joel Embiid went crashing into the stanchion early into the third and needed a break to gather himself. He’s back on the floor in the fourth and could spark a comeback.
But Golden State is the league’s most dominant team for several reasons, all of which were on display against Philly on Saturday.
