The annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is set for Thursday, and as usual, the event will be huge. Some of the biggest and most impressive balloons you’ll ever see will be on display for the event, which will also feature concerts and other entertainment for those attending in person.

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is one of the more entertaining things to watch on the big day. Here’s how you can watch.


For those watching at home, you have a couple of options. The parade has been broadcast primarily by NBC nationally since 1952, and you can view it there beginning at 9 a.m. ET. Live streaming of the parade is on NBC Live, while local and some national viewers can catch the CBS coverage of the parade as well.
New balloons for 2017 include Olaf from Frozen, Chase from Paw Patrol, Jett from Super Wings and The Grinch. Returning balloons will include Hello Kitty, Ronald McDonald, SpongeBob, Pikachu, Pillsbury Doughboy, Angry Birds Red, Scrat from Ice Age, Red Mighty Morphin Power Ranger, Trolls, Greg Heffley from Diary of a Wimpy Kid and the Elf on the Shelf.
The Macy’s novelty balloons for the year will include Harold the Policeman, Harold the Fireman, Harold the Baseball Player, Rex the Happy Dragon, Candy Cane, Red & Gold Macy’s Stars, and the Blue Ornament. The Harold the Baseball Player float is to commemorate Miracle on 34th Street and will be painted black, white and gray.
