Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2017: Time, TV schedule, balloons, and more for Thursday
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is always a fun watch, and we have all you need to know to catch it.

Those watching in person can line the streets between 75th and 59th streets from 9 a.m. through about 10:30 a.m., while those along Sixth Avenue can watch between 9th and 34th streets later on in the route. The parade should be around the Sixth Avenue portion after about a half hour.
The parade route kicks off from 77th Street and Central Park West, and will proceed downtown along the 2.5-mile route to the Macy’s flagship store at 34th Street and Sixth Avenue.
Four balloons are making their debut this year — Olaf from Frozen, Jett from Super Wings, Chase from PAW Patrol and Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch. Among the more interesting balloons is the Harold the Baseball Player balloon, honoring the classic holiday movie Miracle on 34th Street. This year’s balloon has been recreated and painted grey, black, and white in the style of the movie.
Returning balloons will include Hello Kitty, Ronald McDonald, Spongebob, Pikachu, Pillsbury Dough Boy, Angry Birds Red, Scrat from Ice Age, Red Mighty Morphin Power Ranger, Trolls, Greg Heffley from Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and the Elf on the Shelf.
