Nov. 27 will mark 10 years since Washington safety Sean Taylor died after being shot in the upper leg by an armed intruder at his home in Florida.
Washington honors Sean Taylor by painting his No. 21 outside of FedEx Field
Monday marks 10 years since his death in 2007.

To honor Taylor, Washington painted his No. 21 outside of FedEx Field before its game against the Giants:
Taylor is remembered as one of the most talented safeties in NFL history despite playing in just under four seasons before his murder.
Coming into the NFL, Taylor helped the Miami Hurricanes to a national championship in 2001 before earning unanimous All-American honors in 2003. Washington selected him No. 5 overall in the 2004 NFL draft, and he made an immediate impact in the nation’s capital with four interceptions in his rookie season.
At the time of his death, Taylor was tied for the NFL lead in interceptions with five, and he was posthumously named to the Pro Bowl in 2007.
Taylor is in Washington’s Ring of Fame at FedEx Field. His number is not retired by the team, but it hasn’t been worn since he last did in 2007.
