A classic NFC East matchup between the Giants and Washington is being played in our nation’s capital, and the field doesn’t look so hot.
Kirk Cousins was a victim of FedEx Field’s terrible-looking grass on his pick-6
The sidelines look fine, but the middle of the field ... not so much.

You can see it from the regular broadcast on NBC, but aerial shots of the field show it looks like somebody took a strip of sand paper and just placed it in the middle of the field:
In the third quarter, Kirk Cousins’ foot got caught in the grass, and he threw an interception:
Former NFL defensive back Rich Crawford also chimed in on the field conditions:
Chrissy Teigen also disapproves:
Former Washington kicker Kai Forbath, now with the Vikings, spoke about how he was prepared to kick on the “dirt” surface when the Vikings played Washington in Week 10.
“It’s dirt and they spray paint it green,” Forbath said via the Pioneer Press. “It’s just not good grass.’’
Forbath also said, “I had an issue with it when I was there, and I’ve heard it hasn’t changed much.”
Leading up to that game, Forbath was 30 of 37 on field goal attempts at FedEx Field at 81.1 percent. At other NFL stadiums, he was 75 of 82, good for 91.5 percent, according to the Pioneer Press.
The field hasn’t seemed to affect the players on Thanksgiving, and both field goal attempts have been made. But the field’s surface is noticeably not good.
