The Heat and Bulls finished the first quarter with a COMBINED 20 points

No, the 13-7 score after the opening 12 minutes wasn’t an NFL game.

Teams from Miami and Chicago played each other on Sunday afternoon, and after one quarter, the score was 13-7. So who was winning, the Dolphins or the Bears?

No, no, no. This was a basketball game.

Miami shot 2-of-19 in the frame, which was the lowest scoring first quarter in franchise history, while Chicago managed to shoot nearly as bad — 4-of-24 from the floor.

That’s a combined 13.9 percent from the field from two teams in 12 whole minutes of basketball.

The second quarter was completely different

The Heat followed up their seven-point quarter with a 38-point one because basketball is ridiculous. Chicago played better offensively, too, with 29 points. Of course, the Bulls holding a team to seven points after one and then trailing by three at halftime is an extremely Bulls thing to do.

In the meantime, be thankful that you’re probably only learning about this awful display of basketball through this post, and you didn’t actually watch it yourself. Although in its own terrible way, that quarter was spectacular.
