This is the coolest buzzer-beating ‘alley-oop’ you may ever see. It’s an alley-oop because Tim Hardaway Jr. catches off a single pass and puts the ball in the bucket. Who cares that it happened 20 feet from the basket — this is an alley-oop to me, and it should be an alley-oop to you, too.
Tim Hardaway Jr. had the coolest buzzer beating ‘alley-oop’ you’ve ever seen
Hardaway Jr. caught the ball off a full-court pass and shimmied a little bit, just for good measure.

I love the Stephen Curry-inspired shimmy at the end, because that’s icing. Hardaway Jr. is having a better season than anyone might have expected after his offseason contract — four years, $71 million — something that Sports Illustrated’s Rob Mahoney breaks down excellently right here.
The pass and the shot all happened in about two seconds, with Hardaway Jr. only barely getting it off in time. It was unfortunately only a two-pointer, but it still allowed the Knicks to end the half with a 21-point lead over the Miami Heat.
Good times in Knicksland!
