Instead of dumping Gatorade on head coach Mark Richt on the field, the Canes gave him his victory bath in the locker room:
After Richt got his shower, the Miami players surrounding him while yelling “YEET!” in unison. For the unfamiliar, “yeet” is a common way to express joy, like “yeah!” or whatever other word or phrase you might belt out in a happy moment.
Next week, Miami welcomes Notre Dame to Hard Rock Stadium. If they’re able to get a win over the Fighting Irish and boost their College Football Playoff case, those yeets will get even louder.
The Gatorade showers will certainly come with them as well.
