The Seattle Seahawks played from behind all game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but in the final minutes of the game, Seattle had a chance to take the lead with a final drive. Instead it ended with a turnover on downs, but it wasn’t without controversy.
Seahawks’ comeback bid vs. Jaguars ends on inexplicable no-call
Paul Richardson was tackled by Jaguars cornerback Aaron Colvin, but somehow no flag was thrown.

Russell Wilson lobbed up a pass down the left sideline on fourth down to Doug Baldwin that fell incomplete, but it was the coverage of Jaguars cornerback Aaron Colvin on Paul Richardson that angered coach Pete Carroll.
Colvin began to slip on the play and pulled down Richardson to prevent a huge play:
The pass wasn’t intended for Richardson, so no pass interference call was correct. But it definitely looked like it should’ve warranted a defensive holding or illegal contact that would’ve resulted in a fresh set of downs for the Seahawks.
That extra opportunity may not have mattered against the Jaguars defense, but Carroll and the Seahawks had every right to be frustrated.
Both teams had qualms with the officials throughout the game, but with the Jaguars taking over on downs and kneeling out the clock, it was the Seahawks’ frustrations that boiled over into a chaotic final minute of fights and ejections.
