We work with people we don’t like all the time and put up with it. Sometimes you give them a smile, a quick nod and a point for acknowledgement, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you like that person.
Bobby Portis and Nikola Mirotic had a moment together against the Celtics
Maybe they’ve made up?
At the same time, though, it’s great to see Bobby Portis and Nikola Mirotic sharing a basketball court and making plays together.
While on a 24-2 run against the Celtics on Monday night, Portis and Mirotic combined on some post action where Portis assisted a Mirotic bucket.
He even gave Portis a little point while making his way up the court!
There was also a low(?) five between the two!
Of course, there was no eye contact. But hey! That’s still progress.
Maybe bygones are bygones between these two. Mirotic finally accepted Portis’ apology for the incident and his injury and they’re actually playing basketball together. Their chemistry is working right now, too. They’ve combined for 31 points against the Celtics were up 56-42 at the half.
Whether they like each other or not, it’s great to see this small moment between the two. If it turns into nothing? Fine. But hopefully it’s the result of a solid working relationship together for, at least, this season.
