The Rockets had a 25-0 run against the Hornets. How do you stop them?

Houston outscored Charlotte by 32 points in just seven minutes.

The Houston Rockets have the best record in the league, haven’t lost since Chris Paul returned, and have reminded everyone how good they are on national television against the Charlotte Hornets.

With 4:43 left in the first quarter, Charlotte led 19-13. With 2:25 left, Houston led 24-23. Here’s how the next few minutes played out.

  • PJ Tucker makes a two-pointer
  • Eric Gordon makes a three-pointer
  • Chris Paul makes a three-pointer
  • Chris Paul makes three free throws

One of those Paul threes was this buzzer beater.

This all happened without the Hornets scoring. They finally broke the 25-point unanswered run — yes, TWENTY-FIVE to ZERO — with Jeremy Lamb free throws at the 9:36 mark of the second quarter.

At that point, they trailed 49-25.

Seven minutes before, they had led by six.

As it turns out, the Houston Rockets are extremely good. James Harden, at least, is loving it!

It’s just hard to stop a team with two elite ball handlers and isolation scorers, and this many shooters who can spot up feet behind the three-point line, and one of the best rim rolling centers in the league. Good luck, Charlotte.
