At 33 years old, Carmelo Anthony isn’t known for having the highest vertical leap. But in his return to Madison Square Garden on Saturday, he turned the clock back with a smooth alley-oop finish.
Carmelo Anthony turned back the clock with a beautiful alley-oop finish
Melo spun off of Doug McDermott and finished with two hands at the rim.

Anthony spun off of Doug McDermott — a player the Knicks received when they dealt Melo to the Thunder over the summer — and caught a lob pass from Russell Westbrook. He finished it with two hands.
The oop stuff was reminiscent of plays Anthony used to make earlier in his career. It was also one of only a handful of made field goals Melo had in the first half.
The Thunder are down by five in the third quarter to a Knicks team without Kristaps Porzingis, so they’ll need more buckets from their star forward if they want to pull this win out on the road.
