LeBron James was mic’d up for the first time ever, and it was great

Please mic up James for every game.

LeBron James doesn’t have many ‘firsts’ remaining in his 15-year career, but he knocked one more thing off his list for the first time on Thursday. James had never worn a microphone during a game until the Cavaliers played the surging Chicago Bulls Thursday.

We’re so glad he finally did it.

Here’s James — the leading fourth-quarter scorer in the NBA — twice scoring on Chicago. After the second turnaround jumper, an and-one bucket, he yelled “IT DON’T MATTER” a couple times. Because, you know, it doesn’t.

But James also showed his dad side. His wife and kids were sitting near the bench, so James hunted down candy for his daughter and made sure she got some.

Here’s James in the pregame warmups, too.

James should be mic’d up every game. Sorry, LeBron, but it’s for the greater good.
