Random Michigan State logo appears on the field during Falcons-Saints broadcast

Hey how’s it going, Sparty?

If you’re sitting at home or elsewhere enjoying a nice holiday beverage while watching the Falcons-Saints game, and you thought you saw a Michigan State logo on the field, you did.

Early in the first quarter, Devonta Freeman was running upfield when a Sparty logo appeared just short of the 50-yard line in Falcons territory:

The Spartans are playing in the San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl Thursday, a game that will air on FS1.

You have to imagine that somebody somehow loaded up this graphic onto the field by accident. But even if it were one of those “first-and-10” markers, it wouldn’t be that far up the field.

Maybe somebody just wanted to send some messaging for their favorite school on an NFL broadcast that had nothing to do with it.
