The Saints came up with a lucky interception late in the second quarter of their game against the Falcons. Cornerback Marshon Lattimore pulled off a BUTT INTERCEPTION.
Marshon Lattimore picked off Matt Ryan with a BUTT INTERCEPTION
This isn’t something you see every day.

Falcons wide receiver Marvin Hall dropped the ball right onto Lattimore’s butt. It never touched the ground, so it was definitely a live ball.
Safety Marcus Williams and linebacker Craig Robertson both went for the recovery. Both missed, and Lattimore had to just do everything himself. Lattimore grabbed the ball off of his own butt and secured it for the pick.
Up until that point, the Falcons’ defense had managed to hold the Saints to two field goals. The Saints were able to turn Lattimore’s pick into a touchdown. They took a 13-0 lead into halftime.
After the game, Lattimore said he just felt the ball and did a little leg curl to pull it in for the interception.
“I must be living right,” Lattimore said.
Lattimore is a frontrunner for the Defensive Rookie of the Year award. That’s his fifth pick of the season, and his third in the past three games.
It was a heads-up play by the Saints, and the right call by the refs.
