Jameis Winston is a competitive player, but there’s no way around the fact that he fumbled on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ final offensive possession, and that it was recovered by Carolina Panthers defensive end Julius Peppers to ice the game.
Jameis Winston had a meltdown on the sideline after a game-clinching fumble
The Buccaneers fell to 4-11 with another loss, and Jameis Winston was furious with the way it ended.

While nobody else had much of a problem with the call, Winston was furious because he thought he wrestled the ball away from Peppers. Possession had already been ruled in Carolina’s favor, though.
He screamed at referee Jerome Boger as he was wrestled off the field by his teammates. But once he got to the sideline, it still wasn’t enough, and he bulldozed through everyone to yell some more.
Eventually, Winston calmed down as the Panthers kneeled out the clock on a 22-19 win. After the game, he was shown apologizing to Boger. It remains to be seen if that’s enough to save him from further punishment after he picked up an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.
