The Raiders and Eagles gave each other fumbles for Christmas

Ho ho ho ... oh, no.

Jeanna Kelley has been covering the Falcons for The Falcoholic since 2011 and the NFL for SB Nation since 2015.

The Raiders and Eagles must be in the giving mood on this Christmas evening. Each team coughed up a fumble on back-to-back plays in the third quarter.

The Eagles picked off Derek Carr and had the ball at Oakland’s 44-yard line. Jay Ajayi took a handoff from Nick Foles on second down and rumbled for 14 yards. But then he lost the ball.

Raiders safety Reggie Nelson recovered, and it looked like a crisis averted for the Raiders.

But then Carr handed off to Marshawn Lynch on first down. Lynch gave us his best reenactment of what Ajayi did on the play before.

The Eagles’ Rodney McLeod recovered. Philadelphia able to capitalize on Lynch’s turnover and tie things up with a field goal.

Carr almost gave away another fumble, but Marshall Newhouse scooped it up, luckily for the Raiders. Maybe the gift exchange portion of this game is over.
