Salah Mejri hails from Tunisia, where soccer is by far the most popular sport. Growing up, he even wanted to be a star soccer player, as any Tunisian kid would. While his basketball career is going well, maybe he gave up on his soccer dreams too soon.
Salah Mejri was told to make a 3-pointer without his hands ... so he did
What a shot!

With three marines courtside before the Dallas Mavericks played the New Orleans Pelicans, Mejri was challenged to make a triple from the corner without using any hands. I’ll be honest — the caption doesn’t give this away, and I thought “priceless” might refer to an incredibly off target attempt that ended up pegging a ball boy, or something like that. I did not expect Mejri to actually hit that corner three with his foot. What the hell, man! That’s a ridiculous trick shot on his first attempt.
Mejri has made exactly one three-pointer in his NBA career — he’s 1-of-6 for his career. If he can get Silver to change the kick ball rule, though, maybe we have a new 7’ Stephen Curry hiding on the Mavericks roster.
