The referees will be using visual measurement to line the football up, and the ball could be outside the painted hash marks at times. Both coaches were made aware of the situation.

This probably won’t have a profound impact on the game, but it’s still a weird thing that’s worth noting.
The turnaround process in Atlanta had to be a quick one. The SEC Championship started at 4 p.m. ET, with a finish around 7:30 p.m. With a kickoff at 1 p.m., minus time for teams to warm up, you’d imagine there were about 14 hours to get things turned around.
For conversion from soccer matches, about 950 workers are used to convert the field back to normal.
Even with the right personnel, things can go wrong, and they did.
