DeMarcus Cousins is a fiery guy. Kevin Durant is no pushover either. So when things got chippy between the two All-Stars when the Pelicans and Warriors played on Monday night, both players were ejected before things could escalate past words.
DeMarcus Cousins and Kevin Durant ejected after on-court altercation
Things got heated late in the Pelicans’ loss to the Warriors.

Boogie and KD had been jawing back and forth all night. But things reached a boiling point in the fourth quarter with the Pelicans down eight. Here, it looks like Cousins nearly head butts Durant.
At the next dead ball, Durant had words for Cousins. The officials apparently had enough of their back-and-forth and decided to eject both of them. Boogie couldn’t believe it. He didn’t respond to Durant in this instance, but the two had been at it almost all night.
That was the last straw. Cousins was already ejected. So he went after Durant, who again didn’t back down.
If only they were mic’d up.
Durant and Cousins could both be assessed $25,000 fines for failing to leave the court in a timely manner. We’ll just have to wait and see what the league office does after this near throwdown.
