We all know that “Ball is Life,” but sometimes life tries to interfere with ball.
5th grade coed team was asked to kick the girls out, so they forfeited their season instead
Now that’s a true team.

A team of nine boys and two girls forfeited the rest of their season after the league’s director said that the girls would no longer be allowed to play on the team, according to a story on NJ.com.
The fifth grade St. John’s CYO basketball team, which already had years of experience playing together, now faced a conundrum.
Drop the girls and keep playing? Or forfeit the remainder of the season?
The parents asked the kids.
“Is your decision to play the game without the two young ladies on the team, or do you want to stay as a team as you have all year?” asked parent Matthew Dohn. “Show of hands for play as a team?”
Eleven hands shot up in unison. No one raised a hand when asked the alternative.
While the other team left the gym, St. John’s decided to play anyway. They split up their 11-person team and decided to have a game of their own.
Through the hurdles and obstacles that people try to throw at you, Ball is Life.
