The NBA trade deadline is done, and we have a few aggravated fan bases in play. In this three-part episode, we let off some steam and ask whether things really are as bad as they seem.

In Part I, Ben and Mike take a bird’s-eye view at the deadline. Topics include:

  • Should the Celtics have shot their shot?
  • What the heck are the Bulls doing?
  • Did Toronto do enough to gear up for Cleveland? What about the Wizards?

In Part II (25:15 mark), Whitney Medworth, SB Nation assistant NBA editor and big-time Pacers fan, joins the show to lament the Paul George situation:

  • Is it a matter of when, not if, George leaves?
  • How much blame should George himself get for sending mixed messages to the Pacers? Does he deserve any blame at all?
  • How have the Pacers messed things up for George? Can those problems be solved before he becomes a free agent?
  • Should Pacers fans resent George’s obvious flirtation with the Lakers?

Finally, Michael Levin (43:53 mark), former Liberty Ballers lead editor and co-host of the world-famous Rights to Ricky Sanchez podcast, jumps on for a much-needed vent session on the awful Nerlens Noel trade.

Once you’re done listening, be sure to check out the Drive & Kick Podcast with Paul Flannery and John Gonzalez for more trade deadline reaction.
