Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle David Parry was arrested on a number of charges early Saturday morning in Scottsdale, Ariz., including for suspicion of auto theft and driving under the influence, according to the Indianapolis Star.

According to Scottsdale police, someone called claiming to have picked up three passengers from a bar in their street-legal golf cart used as a taxi. But when the passengers were dropped off, one hit the driver on the head and stole the cart.

Parry, 24, was later identified by the victim as the assailant and was found by police when they were called to a nearby location for a hit and run collision when a golf cart crashed into a gate. Police say that Parry was drunk and antagonized officers with slurs and insults.

He was arrested by police on seven charges, including auto theft, robbery, resisting arrest and driving under the influence.

“We are aware of the reports and are gathering more information,” the Colts told the Indianapolis Star in a statement Monday night.

Parry was a fifth-round draft pick of the Colts in 2015 and has started all 32 games of his career. He’s one of a handful of NFL players who have been arrested in Scottsdale over the last year, along with Terrell Suggs, Michael Floyd and Jaelen Strong.
