Travis Ford’s first season as the coach of the Saint Louis Billikens hasn’t exactly been one to remember. SLU is currently next-to-last in the Atlantic-10 standings, and owns an overall record of just 8-16.
Saint Louis loses to St. Bonaventure, then gets left at arena by team bus driver
A bad season for Saint Louis took a bizarre turn Wednesday night.

After winning back-to-back games for just the second time this season, Saint Louis saw its momentum stuffed Wednesday night in the form of a 70-55 road loss to St. Bonaventure. After the game, the Bilikens somehow managed to be dragged to an even lower state of mind when they discovered that their team bus had taken off without them.
Things then got even weirder when the bus driver apparently refused to stop after she was tracked down by state troopers.
The state troopers tracked the bus down using GPS on one of the items that was inside it. When they pulled it over, they noticed alcohol on the bus, and its driver, Linda L. Edmister, failed standard field sobriety tests. She was arrested and charged with DWI after a breath test showed her blood alcohol content was .22 percent. Her motive for leaving with the bus is still not known.
The good news for Saint Louis is its next two games will be played at home. The Billikens don’t hit the road again until a Feb. 18 trip to Fordham. It’s safe to assume they will have a more thoroughly vetted bus driver once they arrive in New York.
