And if it’s not for his on-court successes, the Los Angeles Lakers head coach has certainly gotten off to a fast start in his off-court ventures.
We’ve all been there. (OK, maybe not you. I’ve been there.) That’s the look of victory for all parties involved. That’s the look when you both get caught trying to keep a secret. The look when you get your hand caught in the cookie jar.
It also might be the look of victory for a Lakers franchise that just introduced longtime player agent Rob Pelinka as its general manager on Friday.
During his first press conference as Lakers GM, Pelinka methodically detailed his relationship with five-time NBA champion Kobe Bryant, whom he represented over the course of his illustrious 20-year career.
That’s a little deep and may have gotten a bit awkward. Apparently, it was that Pelinka quote that jarred the reaction out of Walton. We’re confused, too.
