Northwestern won its first NCAA tournament game ever, and the locker room was ecstatic

Northwestern’s waited a long time, and celebrated like it.

TBS

Northwestern made it to the NCAA tournament for the first time in program history, and made the most of it with a spectacular win against Vanderbilt.

After the game, everybody was thrilled, and for good reason. When the team’s coach came into the locker room, the team absolutely mobbed him.

Later on, Northwestern head football coach Pat Fitzgerald came in so hyped up, he was red in the face.

That’s one heck of a way for a team to win its first NCAA tournament game, but it’s also a wonderful celebration.

Their prize for beating Vanderbilt? No. 1 Gonzaga. If they win that one, the celebration will only be greater.
