After the Utah Jazz lost to the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday, 108-95, Rudy Gobert suggested some of his teammates may not have the same intentions as others when they step on the floor.

Utah is now just a half-game ahead of the Los Angeles Clippers for the West’s fourth seed.

”We’ve got guys that compete, but some of us don’t compete. Some of us just think about scoring. That’s what it is,” Gobert said via ESPN. “Coach keeps repeating it: We’ve just got to compete. We’re too nice. Those guys, we know they’re going to get calls. We’ve just got to come out aggressive and ready to fight.”
Gobert scored 26 points on 10-of-13 shooting in Utah’s loss to Los Angeles. The remaining four starters combined to shoot 16-of-45 or 35.5 percent from the field. Rodney Hood and Joe Johnson each shot 13 shots—Hood made four, Johnson made six.
In the fourth quarter, Gobert only took three shots, two of which were alley-oops assisted by Boris Diaw.
The Jazz’s loss to the Clippers relinquishes their once firm hold of the Western Conference’s fourth seed.
Utah is now just a half-game ahead of Los Angeles with seven games against teams competing for a playoff spot, including a treacherous three-game stretch at Portland, at Golden State and versus San Antonio to end the season.
