Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd could be the latest NFL player to see his career cut short due to a devastating injury. The 2013 first-round pick is suffering complications from a knee surgery that took place in September, according to USA TODAY Sports.
Sharrif Floyd’s knee injury could end his NFL career early
The Vikings’ 2013 first-round pick is still having issues nearly six months after his most recent surgery.

The report said that the 25-year-old has nerve damage in his right knee and “the quad still isn’t firing” after the surgery six months ago.
“Sharrif is rehabbing, has seen some of the best doctors in the country, will continue to rehab and hopefully, this will heal sooner than later,” said his agent, Brian Mackler.
Last week, Floyd posted an ominous picture on Instagram hinting that his career could be in jeopardy.
It’s another unfortunate injury for the Vikings, who lost Teddy Bridgewater to a freak injury last offseason. He recently posted a workout video of himself throwing passes, but Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said Wednesday that there is no timetable for the quarterback’s return.
Hopefully Floyd can recover from his injury properly and continue his NFL career. He has proven to be an effective player when healthy, totaling 95 tackles and 9.5 sacks in his four-year NFL career. But injuries have been an issue as of late, with the defensive tackle missing three games in 2015 and all but one game in 2016.
