Trailing by four points with 1.6 seconds to go in the first half of their ACC Tournament second-round game, Virginia Tech was attempting to make a full-court miracle happen to make it a single possession game heading into the locker room.
Wake Forest casually drops full court buzzer-beater in ACC tournament
The play of the ACC Tournament might have just gone down on day two.


Things didn’t exactly go according to plan, as Zach LeDay’s full-court pass was picked off by Wake Forest’s Greg McClinton.
McClinton then did this:
To add insult to injury, the shot occurred at the end of a half in which a Virginia Tech team known for its outside shooting was just 3-of-11 from beyond the arc. Wake Forest, meanwhile, connected on six of its nine three-point attempts. None were more difficult or more entertaining than McClinton’s. It was also the only shot attempted by the junior forward during the first half.
