San Diego Padres first baseman Wil Myers hit the first cycle of the 2017 MLB season against the Colorado Rockies on Monday night. He’s just the second player in Padres history to record a single, double, triple, and home run in the same game, joining former outfielder Matt Kemp.

Myers batted 4-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI for the Padres, who beat the Rockies, 5-3, thanks to his effort. He opened with a single in the first inning, then added an RBI double in the third, a solo homer in the sixth, and a triple in the eighth.
The Padres celebrated the feat on Twitter after he pulled it off, and MLB posted video of all four hits:
Kemp hit the first cycle in Padres on Aug. 14, 2015, also against the Rockies. In that game, Kemp went 4-for-5 with four RBI in a 9-5 win at Coors Field. That was Kemp’s first career cycle, and this was Myers’ first career cycle.
Myers came close to the cycle before, though. In 2015, he needed a triple to complete the cycle entering the eighth inning and fell short. Last year, he was in the same position entering the sixth inning and hit a deep fly ball to center field that became a sacrifice fly. Now he’s finally filled out the full bingo card.
Myers has batted .382 with three home runs this season.
