The 2017 WNBA draft will take place on Thursday in New York, and there will be plenty of coverage of the event in the United States. The draft is set to begin at 7 p.m. ET with the first round, which will be broadcast by ESPN2 beginning at the same time.

As for the second and third rounds, ESPNU will have coverage and analysis beginning an hour later at 8 p.m. ET. A live stream will be available via WatchESPN and the ESPN app.

The WNBA’s 21st season will get underway a month from the draft, and draft day also marks the date for single-game ticket sales for all 12 WNBA teams.

For the top pick, the San Antonio Stars will have the honor of getting who they believe is the top talent in the nation. They won the draft lottery, and will pick just ahead of the Chicago Sky.

The Dallas Wings round out the top three and also have the fourth pick after a trade that sent Odyssey Sims to the Los Angeles Sparks in February. The Stars also own the fifth pick in the draft, while the Wings will be very busy early on, also owning the No. 10 overall pick.

Kelsey Plum, the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer out of Washington, is expected by many to be the top pick in the draft. She averaged 31.7 points per game as a senior. The Seattle Storm have held the top pick in the draft the past two years, and each of those picks — Jewell Loyd in 2015 and Breanna Stewart in 2016 — won the league’s Rookie of the Year honors.

This year, the Storm don’t have a draft pick until the third pick of the second round. Below is all you need to watch the coverage on Thursday.
