Which NBA Playoff series interests us most?
We preview all eight first-round series and make our predictions.

We made it everybody! Another regular season is in the books and it’s finally time put DNP-rest and tanking behind us to concentrate on the postseason. We dove into all eight postseason series on this playoff edition of the Drive & Kick podcast.
We start out West with the Clippers and Jazz, which looks like the most competitive series on the board. It’s also the one with the most on the line. Both L.A. and Utah have massive offseason decisions to make.
We also have a Russell Westbrook-James Harden matchup in the first round. Those MVP votes will be put to the test early.
In the East we started with the Celtics and Bulls. I think this will be tight. Gonz thinks it will be a walk. The best series in the East should be Toronto and Milwaukee, though.
Also on the pod:
- Russ! Harden! Also, Pat Beverley and Andre Roberson. Buckle up.
- The Warriors and Blazers should be fun, if quick.
- Postseason tradition dictates that we must have a Grizzlies-Spurs series.
- The Cavs have been messing with the Basketball Gods, but a series with the Pacers is a good chance to get right with the fates.
- The Bucks and Raptors are a nerdist delight. It’s kind of a shame that these two are playing each other in the first round.
- All that plus the Wizards and Hawks in the NBA-TV special.
