According to a nice new poll conducted by Yahoo!/Marist, 69 percent of Americans think it’s totally cool if athletes smoke weed to recover from the wear and tear that comes from being a nice professional athlete.

A nice study found that for the most part, people think athletes smoking pot is nice.

69 percent of the 1,122 adults questioned would have no problem with athletes using marijuana to recuperate from the physical impact of their sports. Twenty-six percent of respondents said they disapproved, while 5 percent said they didn’t know.
The same nice poll found that a similarly nice percentage of Americans didn’t have a problem with it if athletes smoked pot for nice, recreational purposes. But of those who did have a problem with it, most of them were over 70, which is stupid, because what were they, asleep for Woodstock?
In another shocking turn of events, the other group of people who said that they’d lose respect for athletes if they smoked a nice blunt — or maybe vaped, vaping is nice — were political conservatives (47 percent). Forty-three percent of people who hadn’t tried marijuana themselves also thought athletes smoking pot was not nice.
