Atlanta Hawks forward Thabo Sefolosha settled his civil lawsuit against the five members of the New York Police Department who inflicted season-ending injuries during an arrest in April of 2015. The settlement was first reported by TMZ Sports, and its terms were not disclosed.

Sefolosha missed five regular season games and was sidelined for Atlanta’s trip to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Sefolosha and former Hawks big man Pero Antic were arrested outside of a popular New York City nightclub 1 OAK in the early morning of April 7, 2015. During the arrest, he sustained a broken right leg and severe ligament damage to his ankle. The injuries cost Sefolosha the final five games of the regular season and 16 playoff games, as the Hawks advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals.
Sefolosha faced three misdemeanor counts of disobeying orders to move from a crime scene and resisting arrest. He declined to plea bargain and was acquitted of all charges after a trial in October, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Antic also filed a civil lawsuit, and his case is still pending.
