A playful Steve Kerr took a jab at his ex-Bulls teammate Dennis Rodman’s own resting habits on Wednesday after Rodman was critical of LeBron James and NBA players who take games off.
Steve Kerr butchered Dennis Rodman after he made comments about resting players
In a recent interview, Rodman was critical of players taking days off to rest.

“I saw Dennis Rodman was complaining about it,” the Warriors coach said. “I got a kick out of that because Dennis was suspended for 15 games a year anyway. He’d have plenty of rest. [Went to] Vegas or Wrestlemania. He took a night off whenever he wanted, so he can’t complain.”
Rodman appeared on CBS Sports’ Reiter Than You show on Wednesday and bashed James in comparison to Michael Jordan for resting games.
“You know what, LeBron’s doing one thing that I always said that Michael Jordan never did,” Rodman said. “He never rested. He played every game. He played every game. LeBron has the position to do this now because they need him. The league needs him that’s why he’s doing all this crazy s— now like bitching and complaining and all this [BS].”
Rodman missed only five games his rookie year and played 82 games in four of his first five seasons in Detroit. But he played more than 64 games in just two of the following eight seasons. James has played fewer than 70 games only twice in his 14-year career.
James has missed six games this season. Four of those games were in back-to-back situations. Kerr has also sat his All-Stars at different points throughout the season.
Doesn’t look like Rodman should be the one talking, though.
