He’s still growing.

Things just got a little bit better for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Ben Simmons, who has yet to play a game recovering from a Jones fracture in his right foot, has grown two inches to just under 7’0, according to ex-Sixers player World B. Free and WIP FM reporter Jon Johnson. The 20-year-old Simmons was listed at 6’10 when the Sixers drafted him No. 1 overall in the 2016 NBA Draft.

“It seems like Ben Simmons grew about another two inches since he’s been here. I told him that the other day, I said, ‘Ben, you look like you’ve grown another two inches since you’ve been here,’” Free said during the televised broadcast of the 76ers’ loss to Cleveland. “His arms are long, he’s lean, he’s in shape. When I watched him in practice — just in practice — he’s like a baby Magic Johnson. He’s practiced with LeBron — he worked out with LeBron — so LeBron’s probably going to beat him up and make him strong.”

The rookie out of LSU also liked a tweet from NBA 2K’s Chris Manning, noting an update in Simmons’ height in the game.

Simmons is heralded as the closest thing to LeBron James since LeBron James. If he’s still growing, that’s a bad sign for the other 29 NBA teams.

That’s provided he can actually get on the court next season.
