Millsap was in position to do so after Kent Bazemore won a jump ball over Kyrie Irving with less than five seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. Irving was forced into a jump ball scenario after LeBron James inbounded the ball into the corner, allowing two Hawks defenders to trap him.
Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue left his starters in despite a sizable lead in the final period.
