San Antonio Spurs forward David Lee suffered an apparent hip injury in Game 3 of the team’s series against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday. He left the game immediately and will not return.
David Lee leaves Game 3 with an apparent leg injury
Lee had four points in two minutes prior to his injury.

Lee went up for a layup late in the first quarter and drew a foul on Draymond Green. He made the basket but came down awkwardly. He went straight to the locker room, and because he opted not to shoot his free throws, he cannot return to the game.
The injury to Lee, who scored four points in two minutes, is another blow to an already shorthanded Spurs team. San Antonio is without Kawhi Leonard, who aggravated a right ankle injury in Game 1 against the Warriors. The Spurs are also missing Tony Parker, who ruptured his quadriceps tendon in Game 2 of their second-round series against the Houston Rockets.
San Antonio is actually up by four at the end of the first quarter, so we’ll see how drastic this injury is to the team’s shot at winning Game 3.
