LeBron James ruined the best Kevin Love pass ever

Close but no cigar.

LeBron James and Kevin Love have teamed up on full-court passes to tomahawk dunk sequences more times than most can count. So this signature, fading overhead pass to a streaking James should have been the most iconic outlet pass of Love’s career.

Not so fast.

Here’s another angle, slowed down for your viewing pleasure:

James cocked back as far as possible and blew the tomahawk jam right off the rim, into the air, and into Avery Bradley’s arms during the Cleveland Cavaliers’ Game 4 matchup against the Boston Celtics on Tuesday. It was the worst possible outcome of a picture-perfect heave from Love that normally ends in two points.

Maybe next time, guys.
