The 35th edition of the America’s Cup qualifying round is in full swing, as teams raced one another over the weekend. Now, there are three more matches that have to take place today.

The America’s Cup qualifiers are underway.


The day’s action will get underway at 1 p.m. ET and NBCSN will have live television coverage. Some rounds are tape delayed, but that will not be the case on Monday. A live stream will be available via NBC Sports beginning at the same time.
Oracle Team USA earned two wins on Sunday, beating Great Britain in Race 8, and Japan in Race 12. But they also suffered their first defeat, falling to Sweden in Race 10. Still, the 12th race was the last one on the day, so they closed it off well after the loss.
Today, the first race of the day, Race 13, will be between Great Britain and France. After that, Sweden and New Zealand will collide in Race 14. Lastly, Japan and France will do battle in Race 15. Each team will race one another twice.
Each win equals one point. The top four teams will advance to the America’s Cup Challenger Playoffs. Oracle Team USA will skip this stage and head right to the finals. There are two semifinals and a finals in the playoffs. The overall winner will collide against Oracle Team USA in a best of 13 races in the finals.
