New Cowboys cornerback Nolan Carroll was arrested on suspicion of DWI following a welcome party celebrating his arrival in Dallas, according to the Associated Press.
Nolan Carroll arrested for DWI after event celebrating signing with Cowboys
Carroll was arrested early Monday morning.

Dallas police said they stopped Carroll early Monday morning for driving on the wrong side of the road, per NFL.com’s Lakisha Jackson. He was arrested after failing a field sobriety test. Carroll was released Monday evening after paying his $500 bond.
He was arrested near the club that hosted the party that welcomed him to Texas. Carroll signed with a three-year deal with Dallas back in March.
The Cowboys issued a statement on Tuesday through a team spokesman to say that the team is “aware of the situation and are gathering information at this time.”
Carroll provided a statement, too, via his Snapchat account.
Carroll signed a three-year, $10 million deal with the Cowboys in free agency, but depth at the cornerback position was a concern after losing both Brandon Carr and Morris Claiborne. Dallas kept building the secondary through the draft, selecting Jourdan Lewis, Chidobe Awuzie, and Marquez White.
Last season, Carroll had one pick, one forced fumble, and 11 pass breakups for the Philadelphia Eagles. He is likely to face league discipline for this arrest.
