Sammie Coates’ broken finger is healed, but it doesn’t look like it

If you’re easily nauseated, please look away.

Sammie Coates broke his index finger badly last season, during Week 5 when the Steelers played the Jets. He decided to skip surgery to repair it, and even though it’s healed, it sure doesn’t look like it.

Seriously, this probably needs a warning label.

Here’s a list of things Coates can do with this grotesque-looking finger:

  • Flip his hand over and motion for everyone to come here.
  • Scratch a very good dog behind the ears.
  • Make the letter X in American Sign Language.
  • Give me nightmares.

But can Coates catch balls with that finger? We’ll find out next season.
