Michael Oher, offensive tackle for the Carolina Panthers, turned himself into police and was booked, then released, with a misdemeanor assault citation stemming from an altercation with an Uber driver.
Michael Oher cited for misdemeanor assault on a Nashville Uber driver
Oher allegedly pushed the driver down and kicked him.

According to a Nashville news station, Oher and four friends got in an Uber in downtown Nashville and asked the driver to follow another car to a restaurant.
On the way, the driver reportedly suggested the first car might not know where it was going and that he take the lead. Oher allegedly accused the driver of trying to run up the fare.
The group then told the driver to go to another restaurant altogether, but wanted to stop on the way so some of the riders could use the restroom.
The driver got out to let them out of the back, and Oher exited the vehicle and came toward the driver. The driver then put his hand on or near Oher’s face.
Oher is accused of pushing the driver down and kicking him in the leg, before his friends restrained him. The police report says that Oher had been drinking prior to the incident.
The offensive tackle is currently on concussion protocol with the Panthers. He had formerly played for the Titans and the Ravens, with whom he won the Super Bowl in 2013.
He was also the inspiration for the movie The Blind Side, which detailed his life and college career with Ole Miss.
Oher is scheduled to appear in court June 6, according to court records.
